Official Publication: Society of Pharmacognosy and Phytochemistry; ISSN Print: DOI: http://dx.doi.org/10.22271/phyto; Journal Status: Both Print and Online
The first place to look for a DOI is the article itself. Many publishers will include the DOI somewhere on the first page of the article. Here are a few examples: Header: Journal of Social Issues, Vol. 71, No. 3, 2015, pp. 441-452 doi: 10.1111/josi.12122. Footer: DOI: 10.111/dome.12082 Digest of Middle East Student - Volume 25, Number 1 - Pages
This is to enable librarians and other users to distinguish between their print and online holdings. The Online ISSN for ISJ is 1365-2575. The e-ISSN is also used within the structure of the Digital Object Identifier (DOI). ISSN is an identification tag for a pool of information, except book, whereas DOI is uniquely for an article published in a journal or other related publications.

DOIs make it easier to retrieve works, which is why citation styles, like APA and MLA Style , recommend including them in citations. Send questions or comments to doi-help@doi.org. Further documentation is available here. DOI Resolution Documentation An ISSN is not the same thing as a DOI, and ISSNs should not appear in APA citations.
ISSN does not offer resolution mechanisms like a digital object identifier (DOI) or a URN does, so the DOI is used as a URN for articles, with (for historical reasons) no need for an ISSN's existence.
